As part of a team, we completed the rebranding of Rank & File, a community-based theatre organisation supporting refugees, abuse survivors, and people with disabilities. Our goal was to refresh their visual identity to better reflect their inclusive, supportive, and creative values. This included a full brand investigation, development of a new brand personality ("The Creator"), visual identity (logo, colour palette, typography), and practical brand applications such as social media assets, print materials, and a website reskin.
We conducted competitor analysis, audience segmentation, and workshops to refine our direction. The resulting identity uses bold, theatrical typography and community-driven colour schemes, helping the charity to communicate more powerfully and consistently.
A highlight of this project was pitching our concept directly to the client, where I contributed to presenting our research, creative rationale, and design solutions. This experience significantly improved my communication, storytelling, and client-facing skills, particularly in articulating design decisions to a non-design audience and receiving constructive feedback with confidence.
